How everyone's eye widen once the first snow falls.

That seemingly everlasting peace at night as the snowflakes become larger and is only proven so once illuminated against the street light.

How the blanket of snow is untouched in the early morning.

Being able to see evidence of the creatures who stir late at night or in the wee hours of the morning in the snow.

That pair of cozy socks.

Looking at a perfect snowflake on your glove with it's own uniqueness.

When it is so cold that it taken over the circumference of the branches of trees and shrubs.

How a bird puffs and ruffles it's feathers to beat the brisk days.

The warm hug you get from wrapping yourself in your favorite blanket or sweater.

The smell of coffee in the morning.

Being pleasantly overwhelmed by the warmth of a home coming in from the cold.

Reminiscing with family on Christmas Eve .

Glowing Christmas lights on a snow covered spruce at night.

Pretty wrapping paper.

Sipping hot cocoa from your perfectly picked mug and watching the snow fall.

Sitting next to a fire, whether it's inside or outside.

Echoing water under it's ice in the nearby creek.

Gazing out at the forest covered in white wondering what things lurk just beneath the vastness of it's depth.

The crunch of the snow under your boots.

Soaking in a hot tub while its snowing.

Taking a stroll at night with a loved one in the snow.

A long awaited hug from family you haven't seen in a while.

Sharing a few laughs and drinks with family and friends.

Listening to classic holiday music while admiring your tree all in lights and filled with memories.

Someones reaction to opening their gift you got them.

Watching all the animals play in the snow.

The smell of spices, cookies and tobacco.

The sounds of glasses clinking from a toast before a feast or against it's seemingly betrothed bottled just for one night.

Sunrise in the winter.

Knowing how fortunate you are.

The first sight of the tree on Christmas morning barricaded by Santa's bringing's.

The voices of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin and Elvis Presley.

Hearing about peoples good deeds.

The smell of pine.

Successfully baking an apple pie.

Christmas on the ranch with mom and dad.

Pleasant Christmas surprises.

Sounds of birds as you wake.

Being able to put your favorite ornament on the Christmas tree.

A kiss shared in the snow.

A Christmas pup.
